John Hodge, DDM Founder

In 2000, while working in Los Angeles, John Hodge, originally from Knoxville, TN, met actor and comedian Blake Clark, a Macon, Georgia native and the two southerners became instant friends. That chance meeting led to John helping Blake with his golf game and Blake firing up John’s interest in broadcast media and stand-up comedy. Just days after the attack on the U.S. on 9/11/2001, John and Blake drove across the country, visiting with locals along the way and presenting a few stand-up shows headlined by Blake. It was a special time to see the support and unified feelings of love for America, and each other, by its citizens. That led John to hosting 100+ live comedy shows, which led to publishing a golf joke book, born from banter with Blake while criss-crossing the US, which led to broadcasting opportunities, both in radio (golf, sports, other talk shows) and television (Who's Laughing Now --> Laughter in Paradise) and producing live Stand-up comedy shows in theaters and ballrooms, as well as The Jestival Comedy Festival, with Mark Craycraft, former Director of Entertainment for Dick Clark Productions.

Isn't it amazing that the Universe is so perfect that your path, however well-traveled it may or may not be, always leads to it's fulfilling purpose!
